A home also involves a builder, a designer and often a real estate advisor. Some of those businesses share our family name; each provides its own services under its own agreements. Here is who they are and where our work meets theirs.
Luxury custom home builder
Peters Custom Homes, Inc. (opens in a new tab) builds luxury custom homes in the Charlotte area. When we work on the same home, our part is the technology: prewire routes, equipment-rack space, speaker and display locations, and network planning agreed before drywall. Luxury spec home builder
Peters Signature Homes (opens in a new tab) builds luxury spec homes — houses started by the builder before a buyer is involved. In those homes, technology is usually planned as a flexible baseline: structured wiring, a central equipment location and pathways a future owner can build on. Construction and home sales are handled by the builder, not by Peters Audio Video.
Interior design
Emerald & Oak Design (opens in a new tab) is an interior design studio. On shared projects we coordinate the places where technology meets the room — keypad and touch-screen locations, in-ceiling speaker placement, lighting scenes and shade pockets — so equipment supports the design rather than competing with it. Design services are provided separately by the studio.
Real estate representation, through Peters & Associates, Inc.
The Peters Team (opens in a new tab) provides buyer and seller representation through Peters & Associates, Inc. Buyers sometimes ask us to look at a property's existing technology — what the wiring supports, whether the control system is current and what it would cost to update. Real estate services are provided by Peters & Associates, Inc., not by Peters Audio Video.
